Péter Tompa, professor of the Research Centre for Natural Sciences, Hungarian Academy of Sciences (Institute of Enzymology) was elected a new member by Academia Europaea.

Membership of Academia Europaea has been thus extended by seven Hungarian members – among them, three members and four D.Sc. of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Together with the newly elected members, there are altogether 91 national scientists taking part in the activities of the institution founded in 1988.
