The 32nd Informal Meeting on Mass Spectrometry conference was organized from 11 to 14 May 2014 in Balatonszárszó, Hungary. This well-known scientific event takes place in various European countries every year. Founders and co-chairmen of the meeting are Pietro Traldi and Károly Vékey; the organizers were László Drahos and members of the MS Proteomics Research Group of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Research Centre for Natural Sciences. On the conference recent theoretical problems of mass spectrometry were discussed and latest results of life-, materials- and environmental chemistry were presented in 39 oral- and 72 poster presentations. There were 150 participants at the conference arriving from several continents.
