Dr Eva Gyarmathy is the senior researcher at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychology of the Research Center for Natural Sciences of the Hungarian Academy. Her research interests focus on multiple exceptional gifted individuals such as talent associated with specific learning difficulties, ADHD, autism and/or social, cultural differences. Her current research area covers the topic of the profoundly gifted and talented persons, too. Her publications on the subject have achieved a significant impact on the talents of both theoretical and practical field.
Eva Gyarmathy is invited lecturer at many universities, including ELTE, Budapest, and the University of Szeged. The topics of her lectures are related to multilevel options in the treatment of specific skills. As a supporter of the open up education, her academic lectures are publicly advertised, thus for a wider audience available. In addition, all her work is accessible for free. She is also a consultant to private schools that serve children and adolescents who could not be integrated with mainstream school. As psychotherapist her activity directs toward the care of the multiple exceptional talents. She founded the Adolescent and Adult Dyslexia Center (http://www.diszk.hu) and the Special Needs Talent Support Council (http://sni-tst.eu). She is the professional counsellor of the Information Technology Teachers’ Talent Support Council (http://www.isze.hu) with the goal to found and disseminate the talent support practices appropriate in the digital age.
Eva Gyarmathy has founded the Hungarian National Talent Support Council’s Committee for Talents in Special Situation. The Committee has developed proper care for the profoundly gifted and multiple exceptional gifted populations through the refinement of the image of the talent.
